The American fragrance and flavor group announced earlier this month the opening of the expanded unit of its subsidiary LMR Naturals in Grasse, France, following an investment of EUR 10 million .
The expansion increases the facility’s footprint by 75% to 4,687 square meters and includes a state-of-the-art pilot hall designed to accelerate the development of new natural ingredients. The enhanced facility also features a recently completed experimental field nearby, which will provide direct access to plant materials, enabling deeper exploration of botanical potential and accelerated ingredient innovation. The expansion brings together more than 30 research and development experts under one roof, enhancing IFF ‘s ability to meet the growing global demand for traceable, sustainable, and high-quality natural products.
” LMR Naturals is a strategic asset within the IFF portfolio , and this expansion underscores our commitment to shaping the future of natural ingredients ,” said Erik Fyrwald, CEO of IFF . ” By deepening our roots in Grasse, the global center of excellence for natural ingredients, we are expanding the innovation that empowers perfumers and flavorists worldwide to deliver exceptional, high-performance, and sustainable signature products that customers love .”
